Collecting, cleaning, displaying, researching, and appreciating TRIVETS and related go-withs!
Pinterest is a pin-board style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. I created my first Pinterest board titled Laundry Day Collectibles a year ago and have enjoyed finding and pinning images ever since.
I’m always amazed at the wide variety of laundry collectibles available and I find it a useful method to save information for future reference. A few items on my Pinterest board have made their way into my collection, but most are either hard to find and/or very expensive … but nice to dream about!
Did you know you can pin images directly from eBay, Google, online newspaper or magazine articles and from other Pinterest boards? Keep an eye out for the little red “P” logo that indicates the ability to pin an image. Once added to your board, it’s easy to edit any pin and add additional information. On auction images, I try to remember to add the item description and the details of the sale (date, price, number of bids).
Pinterest is free and it’s easy to get started … check it out!
